The 2nd Annual Monster Rockfish Festival will be held in conjunction with the Monster Rockfish Tournament, taking place in the Maryland waters of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011. The tournament is a production of BAMM Enterprises in Lexington Park.
The highlight of the Festival is the 2nd Annual Rockfish Cook-off featuring restaurants from the greater Maryland area. There will be Rockfish tastings and other seasonal culinary delights, as well as beer and wine. Entertainment options include live music, tours of historic Rosedale Manor and an awards ceremony for Monster Rockfish Tournament participants.
Come participate in (or just enjoy watching) MONSTER ROCKFISH DRAG RACING CONTEST, only at the Monster Rockfish Festival.
Pony rides, and horseback riding and kayaking demonstrations (weather permitting) will be offered.
The Festival is a designated SAFE TRICK OR TREATING ZONE. Greenwell will offer candy and other treats to children. Other Festival events include Halloween-themed crafts, costume contests and hay rides.
The Festival is free to the general public (parking fees apply).
